Mediterranean Sampler: Bev Goldie

Sights, Tastes and Sounds from Barcelona, The Amalfi Coast, Rome, Tuscany, Provence and The French Riviera.

Perk your week up and enjoy a lively presentation of Bev Goldie’s photos from a recent trip set to music. The images were taken as reference material for future art projects and mementos. Learn more about the astounding architecture of Antoni Gaudi, the way Europeans incorporate art and history into their everyday lives, and views we would love to see now instead of snow. The treats will be a Mediterranean theme too. Music will be Spanish guitars, Pavarotti’s arias, and Enya’s Orinocco Flow.

We need three people to help with setting up the Ohio Veterinarian Medical Association art show on February 24th from 9AM to 3PM. Take down will be February 28th at 3PM. This event is our big fundraiser. Volunteer today.

CALL FOR ARTISTS
Dublin Bicentennial Art Show May 1st to June 2nd

The Dublin Area Art League is hosting a Bicentennial Art Show to be held in May of 2010 at the Dublin Recreation Center. All artists, sixteen years of age and older, are welcomed to submit 2 pieces of art work for consideration for the show. Submission deadline is April 15, 2010 with a $15.00 fee. The show opens on May 1, 2010. This show will be held in conjunction with the Living History Exhibit, by professional artist Linda McFarlin. Living History Exhibit and Community Day May 29th at the Coffman Park Homestead, we need volunteers to watch over Linda McFarlin’s art that will be set up in the barn. Plan on bringing cameras or drawing material to capture the re-enactors in costume.

2010 Spring Art Show Chair

Wayne Cullen is the chair for the DAAL Spring Show in April. Everyone is encouraged to help think of a title and volunteers are always needed for set up and tear down. Still looking for a location for the Show. Contact Wayne at wcullen105@hotmail.com.

Art Stroll and Paint Out

I need a couple of volunteers to assist me with the Art Stroll and Paint Out. I would love to have a photographer to assist on July 10th with the registration and to take photos of the participants as they are working. Contact Cindy at cjbryden@wowway.com.

The 2010 Dublin Art Fair
